Served 290 youth with almost 2,000 contact visits

 Education

  • Reading & math remediation
    • 67% that were basic skills deficient increase by 2 grade levels
  • College Prep – assistance with college and scholarship applications as well as FAFSA workshops.
    • 12 high school graduates with 100% going on to college, 1 college graduate from Regis University
    • 26 students attending college with 100% retaining for second semester
    • 3 Mayor’s Youth Award recipients

 Academies

Completed 10 Occupational Skills Academies in Culinary, Advanced Manufacturing, Customer Service and Pre-Professional Occupations in Healthcare.

  • 105 (93%) youth completed an academy
  • 75 (92%) youth earned a nationally recognized certification
  • 93 (88%) who completed an academy were placed in employment, post-secondary education or returned to high school

 Employment Training & Placement

  • Provided 37 subsidized work experiences in basic job readiness training, career internship and/or for placement (5)
  • 20 youth completed subsidized work experiences at Osage Café

78% of youth were employed or began post-secondary training
